COVID-19 Vaccine Update from Jaye Robinson May 17

Here is the latest COVID-19 Vaccine Update from Jaye Robinson including details on eligibility of all residents aged 18 and older to receive a vaccine at one of the City of Toronto’s mass immunization clinics.

Dear Friends and Neighbours,

Starting Tuesday, May 18th (tomorrow) at 8:00am, all Toronto residents aged 18+ – including those turning 18 in 2021 – will be eligible to book their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at a City-run immunization clinic

Eligible residents can book an appointment through the Provincial booking portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Information Line at 1-833-943-3900. Residents can also continue booking appointments at hospital and health partner-run vaccine clinics through the VaccineTO booking and registration portal.

To-date, over 1.7 million vaccines have been administered in Toronto and over 60% of adults have received their first dose. At a mobile clinic on Sunday in Ward 15’s very own Thorncliffe Park neighbourhood, our health and community partners led by Michael Garron Hospital administered 10,000 vaccines – a national record for a single-day clinic.

I will continue pushing for the vaccine supply required to maintain this momentum.
