LTTA Quarterly Tenants Meeting September 18

Our next Tenants meeting is scheduled for September 18th at 7:30pm in the Party Room.

On the Agenda

  • Is Thorncliffe Park still a safe place to live, work and play? – Update from PC Viktor Sarudi and PC Farham Ali
  • Activity Update with Pat Wright of the Getaway Club
  • Property Manager Amit Thakur – to answer your questions and address your concerns
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY we’d like to hear from you about things you would like the LTTA to undertake in conjunction with Management, to resolve issues and to provide constructive ideas to improve everyone’s living experience at Leaside Towers!

ALL TENANTS are welcome and encouraged to attend. If you haven’t yet become a member of the LTTA, we hope you will join or renew this year!  Membership is only $10.00 per apartment per year.

Activities for September

September is just around the corner – where did the summer go?!

Here’s what on for the fall:


  • Fit for Life resumes on September 10th with classes on Mondays and Fridays (no class on October 8th)
  • Shibashi Tai Chi resumes weekly classes on Wednesday September 5th.

Sign Up for CPR/AED Workshops

Do you want to be able to save a life? Learn how to do CPR and use a Defibrillator ?

A Half-Day and an All-Day Programme are being offered to Leaside Towers’ Tenants only .  The workshops will run with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 24 adults (18 years and older).

Sign up early to reserve your spot! You can take just the Morning Session OR take the All-Day Session (your choice).

CPR/AED Workshops SATURDAY, JUNE 9TH, 2018 in the Party Room


10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (approximately 2.5 hours)

CPR/AED Workshop (Participation certificate)


  • Airway emergencies (e.g., Choking/obstructed airway)
  • CPR for Adults
  • Automated External De-fibrillation (AED)
  • Review and demo of our on-site AED device

Fees: $30 per person ($15 if you are a Member of the LTTA)

ALL-DAY SESSION (Bring a lunch or snack)

10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (approximately 5 hours)

Additional Certification Content (Three-year certification)


  • Breathing emergencies
  • Circulation emergencies
  • Child/Baby CPR skills
  • Skills assessment

Canadian Red Cross Certification valid for 3 years

Fees: $45 ($30 if you are a current Member of the LTTA)

We need people to pre-register and pay by no later than May 31st to ensure that the workshops will go ahead.

A flyer, with an attached Registration form, will be available at the Security Desk in the Lobby of each building, in the Laundry Rooms in both buildings, and in the Library in Building 95.
