We are sad to report that 95 daytime security guard Norman Gozun passed away from a severe heart attack while driving to work on the morning of November 9th . Norman worked at a level far above his pay grade, providing 95 residents with many services of a “real” concierge. We will miss him. Thanks so much to Morguard for hosting yesterday’s visitation for Norman’s family.

Info from Jaye Robinson on Community Environment Days:
Dear Friends and Neighbours,
The City’s drive-thru Community Environment Days will kick-off on Sunday, September 12 at the Dufferin and Bermondsey transfer stations.
Unfortunately, the City made the difficult decision to once again scale back Community Environment Days due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This news was particularly disappointing as the Ward 15 Environment Days are among the most well-attended in Toronto.
Instead, the City will be hosting 14 drive-thru Community Environment Days in September and October. These events provide residents with an opportunity to properly dispose of a variety of household items, including clothing, small appliances, and electronics. You can also safely dispose of household hazardous waste, and bring books, sports equipment, and clothing for donation. City staff will also be giving out two 13kg bags of compost per household — for free!
If you’re interested in attending one of these events, the six closest to Ward 15 are:
- Sunday, September 12 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Dufferin Drop-off Depot (35 Vanley Crescent)
- Sunday, September 12 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Bermondsey Drop-off Depot (188 Bermondsey Road)
- Sunday, September 26 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Dufferin Drop-off Depot (35 Vanley Crescent)
- Sunday, October 3 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Victoria Park Drop-off Depot (3350 Victoria Park Avenue)
- Sunday, October 24 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Bermondsey Drop-off Depot (188 Bermondsey Road)
- Sunday, October 24 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Victoria Park Drop-off Depot (3350 Victoria Park Avenue)
